Having taken early retirement at the age of 62 after over 40 years working in the IT Industry.  I'm hoping to spend more time pursuing my hobby and enjoying my new status alongside my wife, family, and friends.

My photography journey has seen me travel through different brands and levels of kit. At one time, I would carry around a full bag of camera gear, only to find that most of the time I was using a single lens. And as for my style, I rarely use a tripod; I much prefer just to carry around my camera and shoot whatever I see that interests me.

Nowadays, I use a Panasonic Lumix S5D, with a 28-200mm Panasonic lens. I also own an 18-40mm Panasonic lens, but that rarely ventures outside of my bag. I do need to attempt some street photography with this at some point, however.

Unfortunately, in 2025, when I moved over to Apple after replacing my old Windows Tower PC with a Mac M4 Mini, I lost around 2,000 of my favourite full-resolution files, including the majority of my Norway images, so I'm almost back to square one. A big lesson learnt!
